Zak Stone

I’m a freelance writer, magazine editor, and video producer living in Los Angeles.

My writing on culture, business, technology and health has appeared online and in print for publications like Fast Company, New York, Bloomberg Businessweek, The New York Times T Magazine, The Fader and Pitchfork.

I was previously executive editor at MEL, a men’s lifestyle brand I helped launch with Dollar Shave Club in 2015. Before that, I was associate editor at Playboy.com, a staff writer for FastCompany.com and assistant editor at GOOD.

My 2015 reported essay “Living and Dying on Airbnb” was featured in The New York Times, on NPR, on TV, all aroundthe internet and in some books.

I regularly make videos for MEL, which you can find here. I occasionally print zines, too.
