Last Friday, global celebrities like Mahershala Ali, Victor Cruz, and Karrueche Tran flocked to Milan forErmenegildo Zegna’s Spring/Summer 2020 fashion show. But the venue was not an urban fashion institute or an esteemed theater; the Ermenegildo Zegna XXX Fashion Show commenced in the ruins of the abandoned AREA EX FALCK steel factory. The sandy runway and backdrop of steel support bars mirrored the industrial, pragmatic sensibilities of the season and earthy tones on display. #UseTheExisting epitomizes the Ermenegildo Zegna’s ideology: environmental responsibility and aesthetic innovation.
