Z33 | 'Our Invisible Hands': Examining Temporary Labor

by Sam Franzini

We take for granted how the food on our table gets onto our plates, but Belgian gallery Z33 is working to illustrate how temporary labor in the agricultural sector impacts us all. Their new exhibition, Our Invisible Hands posits sixteen artists and writers into the brunt of the work in the European countryside. From this experience, they gained new insight about blue collar workers’ experiences, and used it to develop new projects about living together. This behind-the-scenes look presents a unique look at the interplay between nature and humanity, and brings to the forefront an often overlooked perspective.

The exhibition is on view from January 30 to April 17, 2022 in Hasselt.
