Dior Men's Pre-Fall 2019 Tokyo Show | Live Stream
by Charmaine Griffin
For the first time ever the Dior Homme menswear line is premiering its pre-fall runway show in Tokyo, Japan. Led by the fashion house’s new creative director Kim Jones — former men’s artistic director at Louis Vuitton — the brand will tie in influences from Japanese culture. Inspired by his late August trip to Japan, the director will tap into a new level of innovation evident in the show’s teaser video displaying the city’s skyline and signature cherry blossom’s. Jones is kicking off the show with an exclusive pre-release of the Spring/Summer 2019 collection that boasts their trademark bee logo reimagined by famed street artist KAWS, now available on the brand's website.
“A fashion show in Tokyo is the best way to present and celebrate my first Dior pre-fall men’s show. Japan is a magical country that I know quite well and that I love particularly for its incredible and unique culture, history and nature, which have always been very fascinating and a great source of inspiration to me.” — Kim Jones
