Stroll Garden | A New Ceramic House & Garden Exhibition
by Madeleine Schulz
Los Angeles art gallery Stroll Garden has announced a new exhibition, House & Garden, which opened on April 28th. The exhibition features ceramics-based artists Analuisa Corrigan and Lily Clark, whose work will depict domestic home life, with household items from Corrigan and water fountains from Clark.
The series of household items are simultaneously deeply personal while exploring a more universal materiality. Corrigan constructs a makeshift living room, inviting the viewer into the home; into her home—a uniquely intimate setting.
Where Corrigan invites attendees inside, Clark ventures outdoors. Ulitizing water as her primary medium, the artist plays on the senses, creating foundations which catalyze the movement of lighting and sound. The pieces are situated in a floral “garden” designed by A.L. BASA studio’s Alice Lam, creating a resplendent juxtaposition of out/in-doors.
