Sebastian Yatra | Dharma Tour in NYC
by Constanza Falco Raez
Sebastian Yatra left nothing unsaid, nor unfelt, this past weekend at his New York City show for the Dharma World Tour. Bringing in the rock & roll to the beautifully classic United Palace in Upper Manhattan, fans went crazy for Yatra’s performance. Incredible vocals paired with astounding choreography alongside theatrical feelings supported by an insane light show… It was a show for the ages.
Yatra surpassed all expectations with this show. From dancing to his more upbeat regueton songs, to singing his ballads alone with a piano onstage, no one can deny it: the kid has real, raw talent. A unique surprise: his vocals are even more beautiful and powerful in person.
10 out of 10 for Sebastian Yatra and his show. With 3 outfit changes, 2 heartfelt speeches, and 1 amazing guitarist we must give a round of applause to, we couldn’t recommend the show more. The North American leg of his tour finished this weekend in Boston, but his tour continues with Quito and Guayaquil this upcoming week, and back to his home country of Colombia afterwards.
I interviewed Yatra back when the first single for Dharma was coming out, and he excitedly told me about the tour he was planning. How it was going to unlike any other show he had played before with an opportunity to feel every song intensely, How it was a going to be a life experience more than a show. And to that I say: Congratulations Sebastian, you did it.
