Ruinart x Frieze LA | ‘Give Us Back Our Stars’ Opening

‘Give Us Back Our Stars’ is a perfect title for the Ruinart x Frieze LA event being held in the ‘City of Stars’ itself—Los Angeles. Chef Douglas Rankin and artist David Horvitz collaborate to deliver an immersive experience that combines the world of gastronomy with astrology. 

Located on Sunset Blvd, ‘Give Us Back Our Stars’ offers a three course dining experience where avid museum-goers and foodies can find themselves enveloped in a perfectly curated event that yields the best of both worlds. Attendees can sip on Ruinart’s renowned champagnes as they absorb the thought-provoking exhibit intended to make audiences ponder the night sky’s beauty and the threat light pollution poses.

Frieze LA, Maison Ruinart and Bar Restaurant hosted an intimate launch on February 16th where Horovitz presented his artwork. In addition, experimental vocalist Carmina Escobar performed for the attendees, which further enumerated the plethora of art mediums present at the event. 

The culmination of art and food ensue in an experience far from average. Until February 27th, LA-goers can partake in ‘Give Us Back Our Stars’ and watch this fusion of art come to life.
