In 2016 model Emily Labowe founded Poppy Undies and the underwear world has been obsessed ever since. Labowe hand-embroiders custom illustrations and sayings on the high waisted French cut underwear. Made and manufactured in Los Angeles from recycled deadstock cotton, these undies are not only local but are simultaneously environmentally friendly! Poppy Undies are designed tagless due to the discomfort they caused Labowe, instead, color coded elastic inside each pair is used to differentiate sizing (white small, pink medium, purple large).

Making underwear for band merchandise, wedding showers, charity, events, photo shoots, films, and personalized custom orders as well, it is clear that everyone wants a pair of Poppy’s. She sells her underwear online via Instagram directly to the consumer. However, tomorrow, for one day only you can meet her at her pop up at Else Lingerie on Melrose Ave. She has specially made all one off designs inspired by her favorite animals and summer fruits and vegetables. There will also be a small selection of tie dye pieces as well!
