Polaroid Originals is going back to its roots rebranding as Polaroid. Along with this name change the announcement of today’s new range as Polaroid Now takes the analogue into the future showcasing a stream line design in a rainbow of color options.

Polaroid Now is meant to be a simplified camera allowing for maximal use from everyone. Utilizing a newly developed autofocus lens system, longer-lasting battery, accurate flash, and a friendlier more functional camera design, the aim is to empower every photographer at every skill set to be able to create.

The Now camera range will be available for a limited time in each of Polaroid’s five iconic rainbow colors: red, orange, yellow, green and blue. Along with the color options the camera has gone on a redesign with a new fluid and curved design meant for a better holding experience.

About the redesign Polaroid’s CEO Oskar Smolokowski stated, “In the 70s, Polaroid changed the rules of branding with the introduction of bold, full panel rainbow spectrums across our product lines, inspiring a host of legendary brands to this day. As this new decade marks a new chapter in the Polaroid story, it’s a moment for us to celebrate that heritage, while keeping our sights set on the future. The new identity for 2020 reflects this, boldly reclaiming the color spectrum as uniquely Polaroid.”
