Taking to the Do LaB stage at Coachella’s second weekend, BAYNK, the New Zealand singer/songwriter and producer, dropped his soft-electro vibes on the desert crowd this past Friday. With popular tracks like “Sundae” and “Poolside,” BAYNK has created a name for himself in the last few years, traveling both geographically and musically to invent his sound.

"Coachella had always been something I’d dreamed of doing in the early days and assumed would never eventuate, it really seems like a world away from New Zealand. It was more or less a standard show for me excluding having to tie icepacks to my laptops to keep them functioning and using my sweat towel to wipe the screens so I could see what I was doing. The temperature on stage during the show was 100°F / 38°C and towards the end of the set I really had to slow down and stop dancing because I could feel my head spinning and knew I wouldn’t be able to play the saxophone properly if I couldn’t breathe. Can easily say it was the hardest show I’ve ever had to play but seeing a full tent of people jumping up and down was more than worth the discomfort." — BAYNK
