Flaunt Premiere | "Patrick Bateman" by Housewife

Toronto-based songwriter duo Housewife have released their first teaser of a new era, “Patrick Bateman.” At only 19 and 20 years old, the pair consisting of Brighid Fry and Pascale Padilla have won the Toronto Independent Music Award, the Canadian Songwriting Competition, and their 2020 EP Better Daughter was named one of CBC’s “Albums You Need to Hear.” Their new single, a slice of familiar indie pop/rock, takes down the practice of romanticizing evilness. “We wanted to tell a story of someone who is a ‘bad actor’ and hides parts of themselves to appeal to others, but their true intentions are slowly revealed,” they said.
