Flaunt Hosts a Pre-Coachella Free-for-all with performances by G-Eazy, Vic Mensa, and Rainsford
by Flaunt Editorial Staff
We've never been afraid of bringing things to a boil before the first note sings. And so, ahead of our helicopter ride out to the desert for yet another Coachella music festival we started the party at the Hollywood Roosevelt. It was wild! Civil folks that we are, though, we set the tone by toasting The New Fantasy Issue with cover star, Hari Nef, over nibbles and Maestro Dobel cocktails inside The Rosy Oyster, before being serenaded into a cool stupor by Rainsford, also featured in Ms. Nef's spring fashion issue.
To the dance floor! Where Flaunt bestie, Bec Adams of Les Filles, kept the juices flowing on the decks, before Vic Mensa jumped into the saddle. Heinekens in hand, we gleefully watched the hip-hop all-star pass the mic to another 2018 cover star, G-Eazy, of Witness Protection Issue fame. The Bay area musician ran through an assortment of rap bangers, his smash hit "No Limit" driving the crowd into a frenzy. More eventful, though, and to our surprise, was when his girlfriend Halsey joined him in the spotlight for a crowd-pleasing duet. Eazy joked that Halsey, our 2017 Aftershock Issue cover girl, had been teasing him about landing the cover of Flaunt before he did. Still, love reigned supreme. Mr Will Calcutt, no stranger to nocturnal missions, closed it out on the decks before we bid all adieu and hit the mobile IV provider we stationed out front in anticipation of a fabulous time, ready for four more days of music and mayhem.
