'An Exhibition for Notre-Dame' | Gagosian Paris

by Larry Armstrong-Kizzee

In light of the fire that recently ravaged the iconic Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris, Gagosian Gallery and 28 artists have teamed up to fund its reconstruction by way of an exhibition in its honor. Featuring everything from sculpture to painting and photographic print, Gagosian presents a group of works curated for the regeneration of the Medieval relic which once stood as one of the most famed attractions and architectural monuments to exist in Paris and the French Nation alike. All proceeds garnered from the exhibition will be donated via the Friends of Notre-Dame de Paris and its affiliated French entity La Fondation Notre Dame, in effort to uphold Gagosian’s long standing support for artists and the arts at large. In addition to the participating artists, Gagosian notes a special thanks to the following supporters for their limitless contributions: Michel Picaud, President of Friends of Notre-Dame de Paris; the shipping companies Brandl, Chenue, Dietl, Helutrans, Hasenkamp, Kortmann, Martinspeed, Möbel-Transport AG, MTEC, and Yamato; Michael Cahn of Cahn Wilson law firm; the set designer Cécile Degos; and the design company Astier de Villatte, for its donation.
