Nikki Lane | Pappy & Harriets.

by Matt Goodwin

Over the weekend the Highway Queen and star of Flaunt's Eternal Issue, Nikki Lane hosted a sold out, two night residency at the legendary Pioneertown watering hole Pappy & Harriet's.

On Saturday evening, as steaks were grilled and tequila's slammed, Lane yippee-ki-yay'd her way through favorites including '700,000 Rednecks', 'All or Nothin'', 'Send The Sun' and 'Big Mouth', with partner and collaborator, Jonathan Tyler, joining her on stage to duet 'Loves on Fire'.

Also joining Nikki on stage was 11 year old prodigy Ansley Oakley, who tender years belied both her presence and performance as she sung her self-penned number 'My Days', taken from her debut EP.

As Lane brought the curtain down of her two hour set under the desert stars she would have little time to rest. The following day saw her make the short trip to Indio, to Stagecoach, where she performed at her Stage Stop Marketplace, which was also selling clothes from her carefully curated vintage store, High Class Hillbilly

There ain't no rest for the wicked.
