Mozh Mozh Spring/ Summer 2020

by Morgan Vickery

"When I started to sketch the collection, I realized that we were about to enter the new 20's, and I remembered this avant-garde film for the time — The Austro-Hungarian Fritz Lang "Metropolis." So, I wanted to give that feeling to the clothes. I also wanted to use a specific element of the Andes, which the Peruvian poet and plastic artist Jorge Eduardo Eielson would reinterpret for decades in paintings and cloth sculptures. He presented “Nudos” at the Venice Biennale in the 70s. Those are the two influences for SS20 collection: a series of 70 pieces, with garments, bags and accessories that fuse handwoven cotton fabrics, crochet knots and beaded accessories." — Mozhdeh Matin
