McLaren Beverly Hills | Racing Through the Ages Collection

by AnnMarie Barenchi

McLaren Beverly Hills and McLaren Special Operations (MSO) joined forces earlier this month to celebrate their Racing Through the Ages collection. The worldwide exclusive event unveiled six one-of-a-kind vehicles and featured entertainment by illusionist Frankie Foti and actor Aldis Hodge.

Guests explored a branded maze of McLaren sportscars, super cars and samples of paint, carbon fiber and leather. Outside in the parking lot, they could view over 50 McLarens, including a 600LT. The grand reveal, presented by Hodge and Foti, featured a series of magic tricks designed to unveil each of the six MSO vehicles which had been hidden beneath black sheets.

The collection commemorates McLaren’s racing heritage and features three distinct themes: Muriwai Whitefor Bruce McLaren’s early racing exploits in New Zealand; Papaya Sparkfor victories in orange throughout the 1960s and 70s; and Sarthe Grey, for McLaren’s dominant Le Mans victory in 1995. Each theme is represented in the collection by 570S Coupes and 570S Spiders, all of which feature a GT4 racing stripe.

To top off the evening of cars and cocktails, McLaren Beverly Hills also donated a 570S Spider in Muriwai White to One Night for One Drop, an international non-profit dedicated to providing access to safe water.
