Louis Vuitton Objets Nomades | Frieze Los Angeles

by Saybin Roberson

Louis Vuitton presents its first partnership with Frieze Los Angeles debuting a special off-site exhibition of the House’s Objets Nomades collection February 14 - 16 at MILK Los Angeles.

The luxury brand welcomes guests to experience its unparalleled savoir-faire and engage in special design discussions featuring leading voices in the art and design space. Alongside some of the House's esteemed Objets Nomades designers, such as Humberto Campana the conversation will also include Mayer Rus, Architectural Digest West Coast Editor and Andrew Kudless, Louis Vuitton's first American Objets Nomades designer, and Emily King, design historian and curator.

Since its creation in 2012, the Objets Nomades collection has continued Louis Vuitton’s historic tradition of beautifully crafting travel-inspired objects and sustained the creativity, functionality and innovation that has driven the House for over 165 years. The experimental prototypes that make up Objets Nomades collection all pay homage to the House’s special order of the past while meshing the defiantly contemporary visions of creative designers from around the world.

The exhibition will also be the first time the Bomboca Sofa by the Campana Brothers will be presented in the bi-color pink colorway in the Americas as part of the curation. Beyond that, the collection has seen works from Patricia Urquiola, India Mahdavi, Atelier Oi, Atelier Biagetti, Barber&Osgerby, the Campana Brothers, Damien Langlois-Meurinne, Raw Edges, Zanellato/Bortotto, Marcel Wanders, Tokujin Yoshioka, Nendo, André Fu, and, most recently, Andrew Kudless.
