With views of the sea and castle turrets on either side, La Posta Vecchia makes for the perfect Italian summer escape. Inside the hotel’s ochre face, guests can find a sunlit interior filled with treasures from J. P. Getty’s personal collection, made in collaboration with art historian Federico Zeri. The space features marble busts, an antiquarian map, and an ornate 17th century tapestry to welcome its guests.
Rich in history, the hotel proudly displays artifacts of its ancient Roman roots. When Getty restored the space, excavators found remnants of an ancient villa and garden now open exclusively for guests of La Posta Vecchia at their museum.
When La Posta Vecchia is not open as a private villa for exclusive events beginning in October, guests have the choice of a stunning array of accommodation options including the Getty and Medici Master Suites, the Senior and Junior Suites, and more. Each room is decorated with extravagant furnishings and fine details such as antiqued mirrors, Meissen porcelain, and Carrara marble.

Outside the doors of their luxurious rooms, guests can enjoy the culinary delights of Chef Antonio Maglulio who takes pride in the intricate details and attention to local products in his food. At gourmet restaurant The Cesar, diners have the opportunity to enjoy the cuisine of Chef Antonio Maglulio on the terrace as they look out right onto the sea.
