LA Phil I 2019/2020 Season

The Walt Disney Concert Hall will launch The Los Angeles Philharmonic 2019/2020 season. Led by Gustavo Dudamel throughout all five fall programs, the first two programs of the season are dedicated to American Icons highlighting the music of Copland.

The first program, October 3rd to 6th, will embrace Copland’s Appalachian Spring Suite, Gershwin’s Concerto in F with Jean-Yves Thibaudet as soloist, Barber’s Knoxville: Summer of 1915 with soprano Julia Bullock, and Can Spring Be Far Behind? by former Director André Previn. Other dates will include Copland’s Rodeo and Fanfare for the Common Man, Ginastera’s Variaciones concertantes, Sustain, and Must the Devil Have All the Good Tunes?
