An Encounter with Lux Prima at Marciano Foundation

Karen O, Danger Mouse, and creative director Barnaby Clay, presented an immersive listening experience, “An Encounter with Lux Prima” soundtracked by their album at LA’s, Marciano Art Foundation. The events groundbreaking audiovisual technologies and star studded cast of artists such as, creative director Barnaby Clay (David Bowie—“Life On Mars” Revisited, SHOT!), Oscar-nominated sound designer Ren Klyce (Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Fight Club), renowned lighting designer Tobias Rylander (Robyn, The xx, FKA twigs), visual artist Davy Evans and creative consultant Warren Fu (Daft Punk, The Weeknd, Depeche Mode) to bring Lux Prima to life. The installation also features collaborations with projection mapping innovator Travis Threlkel (co-founder and chief creative officer of MSG’s Obscura Digital), George Lucas’ Skywalker Sound and Meyer Sound.
During the opening night O and Mouse broke "Ministry," "Turn The Light" and "Woman" acoustically in a field of red glowing rods getting the crowd hyped before being ushered in to see the installation. The event is meant to be living, with the living, as a nucleus. Tickets to the premiere tun of “An Encounter with Lux Prima” sold out in minutes once available.
