I Like You At Terminal 27 | 4/20 Grand Opening
by Shei Marcelline
Traditionally, various mediums of art reside in their respective homes. Paintings remain in galleries, films are shown in cinemas, and fashion belongs on the runway. While all of these venues allow you to experience creative innovation, their separateness certainly lacks one of most the essential components of art—community.
What if there was a time and space where artistic mediums could not only coexist, but enhance one another? This is exactly what retail + concept store Terminal 27 flawlessly achieves. Co-founded by Ericka del Rosario and Mason Rothschild, Terminal 27 has begun hosting exclusive events where underground creators are finally being brought to the surface.
On Wednesday, 4/20, Terminal 27 and Simi & Haze hosted an event that left the L.A. creative community in awe. A fusion of musical guests Peggy Gou, Joe Kay, and Kaytranada provided a multi-sensory experience that reminded guests why creativity is at its prime in communal spaces. The NFT collection “I LIKE YOU, YOU’RE WEIRD”, created by Amber Park and Mason Rothschild, added a layer of visual bliss to the already buzzing event. Despite Terminal 27’s newer beginnings, it has already established itself as a must-attend fashion turned fun event. The event boasted a bar by 818 Tequila, Jinro Soju, Kimino, Happy Hour, Hivi, and LEUNE.
Notable guests include The Weeknd, Timotheé Chalamet, WILLOW , Hunter Schafer, Dominic Fike, Daniel Caesar, and Jennie from BLACKPINK.
Overall the evening consisted of beautiful and talented creatives enjoying the L.A. art community under one roof. Terminal 27 has certainly set the bar high for their next event, but given their track record thus far, creatives are highly anticipating the next one.
