This being your 9th nomination how different did this feel and stylistically what did you want to do differently?
This was my 9th nomination and the first year in 2 years I didn’t take home anything. It was def a great weekend regardless of the outcome. I felt like I wanted to up my game all around this Grammy weekend and from the feedback of the people I can see that I did.
What Inspired you to pick Jerry Lorenzo’s Fear Of God to wear for the Grammys?
I’ve known Jerry for over 10 years I was actually one of the first people copping FOG hand to hand. I met him in a grocery story parking lot once and bought some years ago.
I wanted to tap in and see if he had anything that could work and he did. He gave me some unreleased pieces and I put them together and made it work.
How important were accessories to your awards attire?
I had to come crazy with the accessories this year I been buying pieces all year pretty much. Rings. Bracelets. Chains I mixed it all up and it gave me the pop I needed with the black suit.
What was your process of selecting each look for the Grammy weekend?
I had been hitting Maxfield and Lorenzo just grabbing pieces anytime they had something so by the time Grammys came I could mix and match for the weekend and see what worked. It’s all about pieces.
Whats next for HIT-BOY ?
