Swedish rug house Henzel Studio, developed in 1999, celebrates its twentieth year of pushing boundaries of artistic practicality at Twentieth, the contemporary furniture and lighting gallery in Los Angeles, CA. Heavily inspired by the blueprint of multimedia artist Calle Henzel who consistently critiqued the traditional limitations and expectations of each medium he pursued, Henzel Studios has maintained a reputation of innovative designs that walk the line that commonly divides design and art.

As an extension of the overarching studio’s twenty year reign, Henzel Collaborations celebrates its 5th year since its launch in 2014 as a space of collaboration with who the studio regards as the worlds most notable contemporary artists. One walk through the gallery space affirms this assertion of global notariety, as the likes of Helmut Lang, Carsten Höller, Jwan Yosef, and Sanford Biggers among others stamp the wall with their signature of boundary pushing approval.

Exhibit Opening: Thursday, June 20 from 6pm to 8pm at Twentieth 7470 Beverly Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90036  and THE NEW 7466 Beverly Boulevard Los Angeles CA 90036
