Golden Goose | From Venice to Venice at the Pink Motel

by Chloe Cussen

On October 12, luxury skateboarding shoe brand Golden Goose hosted its annual event to celebrate the brand at the Pink Motel in Los Angeles. The event is part of the brand’s From Venice to Venice journey that began last year with an event in Venice, Italy. The brand began the event with a Co-Creation Experience at Cadillac Jack’s Café, the Pink Motel’s iconic diner, and continued the night by hosting an intimate dinner for a select group of guests. Following the dinner, Golden Goose invited its guests to walk through a special tunnel that highlighted the brand’s connections to skateboarding and provided information about the history, craftmanship, core values, and heritage of the brand, as well as the brand’s 2021 event in Italy.

For the event, the brand transformed Pink Motel’s pool into a skate park. Alongside other skaters, Cory Juneau, who is the star of the U.S. National Team and won a bronze medal at the 2021 Olympics while wearing Golden Goose shoes, gave a skating performance in the makeshift skate bowl for guests to watch. Throughout the performance, guests also enjoyed lively music from DJ and photographer Myles Hendrik.

Alongside the event, Golden Goose is also releasing a new version of its iconic Ball Star sneaker. The Ball Star sneaker is one of the brand’s most popular styles and the new release is highly anticipated.
