Flaunt Premiere | Noé

by Morgan Vickery

The last track to drop before her debut EP, “Rabbit Hole” offers a final look at what’s on deck for French singer/songwriter, Noé. Released on April 30, the laid-back, mystical aura of the song provides a balanced contrast to her previous tracks, exhibiting Noé’s versatility as an indie-pop artist.

“‘Rabbit Hole’ is a frankenstein of a song. The final vocals are actually original takes of me freestyling melodies and lyrics into a mic at the studio,” Noé said. “I loved how raw and imperfect they sounded so we decided to keep them as is. I think the gritty vibe of ‘Rabbit Hole’ sets it apart from more structured songs like ‘Pity Party’ and ‘Color.’”

“I have so much more to learn, just as I have so much more to live, hurt, break, love, cry and write. There will be many more songs, but this is my first EP and it will always be the first body of work I put out into the world. it’s truly crazy for my anxious/doubt-filled self to say, but I am so damn proud. It took a lot for me to get here. I allowed myself to be myself more than I had ever been, and I hope some people will be able to connect with that. This is only just the beginning, there is so much more growing to do and so many more layers of vulnerability to go through, and I really can’t wait.“ — Noé
