Flaunt & Netflix Premiere | Earthquake Bird

by Britta Cameron

Last night Flaunt and Netflix hosted the US premiere of new film, Earthquake Bird. A psychosexual mystery set in late 1980s Tokyo, the film stars Flaunt alumni Alicia Vikander, Riley Keough, and Jack Huston, along with Naoki Kobayashi as Teiji.

A cocktail reception, with DJ Jihaari on the decks, set the tone pre-screening in the inimitable Netflix lobby, and the evening concluded with Flaunt’s editor in chief, Matthew Bedard, interviewing director Wash Westmoreland, followed by questions from the intimate audience.

Anyone who enjoys meticulously art-directed noir filled with romance, betrayal, alienation, and suspense will appreciate this latest effort from Westmoreland.

Earthquake Bird will be available on Netflix on November 15, 2019.
