Today (Dec. 13) is the day to shop German luggage designer's RIMOWA Pop-up in L.A. on North Rodeo Drive. After one of the company's youngest execs in history, Alexandre Arnault, christened the new store with RIMOWA President of the Americas Martin Croteau and Chief Brand Officer, Hector Muelas, last night with champagne pours and a gathering of infamous fashion luminaries like Pharrell Williams, Victoria’s Secret Angel Alessandra Ambrosia, burlesque dancer Dita Von Teese, and DJ SimiHaze, RIMOWA announced this morning that all proceeds from in-store sales will be donated to the American Red Cross of Ventura County and the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office of Emergency Services to support those displaced by local wildfires.

From the VIP airport lounge-inspired entrance to walls lined with art from London illustrator Charlotte Ager and photographer KangHee Kim, luxury details decked the halls of the highly anticipated opening. The Rodeo Drive location, which is a welcome West Coast addition to the luggage manufacturer's ever-expanding roster of global concept stores, will remain open for six months, beginning today.

If you or your globetrotting significant other could use a new bag from “the original luggage with the grooves” or fun-sized travel accessories, beauty products, pens, survival kits, and other smart lifestyle knick-knack, make popping over to this pop-up a top priority this holiday season. And if it doesn't work out between you two, at least the gift went toward a great cause.
