Poolaroids with Next Models
by flaunt
Temperatures may be cooling down in Los Angeles (at least for now), but the heat never stops for Next Models. In this session of Poolaroids, we take you back to the iconic poolside at the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel, accompanied by the lovely ladies of Next Models. We talk guilty pleasures, fitness routines, and more with some of LA’s freshest faces. Get your sunscreen and shades ready (and give us a follow on our Instagram @flauntmagazine, while you’re at it), because we’ll be swimming in the deep end today.

How do you stay in shape?
I workout with my trainer, Anna Benson, three days a week. I also go to Barry's Bootcamp for a good sweat and cardio. On top of that, it's just about eating clean and finding a diet right for you. Sometimes it may be healthy for you and not someone else.
What are you wearing this summer?
My favorite thing right now is fishnets with high-waisted ripped shorts or jeans with a black cropped top and over sized army jacket! That's been my go to recently. I recommend going to the Melrose Trading Post for an oversized army jacket.
What do you do, when you're not modeling?
I love just going out at night with friends and meeting new people! If I am not doing that I am watching Netflix. I have a list of all shows I have watched and I need to watch!
Whats your fav new spot in LA?
I have no specific place but just being right in the heart of West Hollywood makes me so happy and feel so alive. It inspires me to go out on the town!
What's the hardest part about being a model?
The hardest part personally is just accepting my body and knowing that there is always someone better. I try to use that as inspiration to work harder and just know that my body and look may not work for every brand!

How do you stay in shape?
I keep to a strict diet of 1300 calories a day. I specifically watch my sodium and sugar intake. I'm in the gym for two hours in the morning doing mostly cardio and another two hours at night training with my personal trainer that focuses more on body toning.
Where can you be found on a Friday night?
On a Friday night you can catch me at the movie theater with my friends bonding over Spider-Man and peanut M&M's.
What current trend do you hate?
For some reason, I cannot get on board with overalls. I love any other '90s look, but overalls are the kind of look you go for on laundry day.
What's your guilty pleasure?
My guilty pleasure is superhero movies. I know the ins and outs of every single superhero movie and it makes me feel 100% like a dork but I can't seem to tame my passion for superheroes.
What's the hardest part about being a model?
The hardest part about being a model is all the rejection that comes with it. Most of my time is spent going from casting to casting and sometimes I won't hear back. But, it's the times that you do hear back and get the job that make it all worth it.
Margaret Self
What are you wearing this summer?
I absolutely love my Burgundy Puma Suedes and I think a cool jacket completes any outfit even in the LA heat.
How do you stay cool in the summer?
I love to go to my boyfriend’s house in Venice and hang out at the beach with him. The water is always so refreshing and ice cream is always right around the corner!
What's your guilty pleasure?
I love watching Disney and Pixar conspiracy theory videos on Youtube. I think it is so interesting to hear how people draw connections between the storylines.
What do you do, when you're not modeling?
When I’m not modeling I love hanging out with my younger brother and playing board games with him. I also am on my school’s volleyball team and like to read.
What's your new fav spot in LA?
I love going to the Huntington Library and Botanical Gardens in San Marino. I can spend hours there both with my friends and by myself.
What's the hardest part about being a model?
When I started modeling I was really shy and didn’t know how to move in front of the camera, so learning how to be more comfortable and confident in my own body and skills has been the hardest part for me.

What are your top 3 IG accounts you follow?
@lizzette619, an inspiring animal activist. @paulpanfergrams is an hilarious and weird artistand comedian. @sashablane is a cool chick.
What do you do when you're not modeling?
Oil paintings by the beach, skating, making films, or hanging with my family, the nut finder, and my friends.
What's your new favorite spot in LA?
Masa of Echo Park on Sunset. They do a great deep plate Chicago pizza.
Do you have a special skill?
When I reach in the air and stretch out I look like a long bean.
What are you listening to?
Beach House, Bon Iver, and, of course, good old Elvis.
What are you wearing this summer?
My sister gave me this huge denim jacket (which she hand painted pictures on) which I always wear.
Dream modeling job?
A D&G or Gucci campaign would obviously be great but I must admit I'd love to do pyjama modelling as it would be so cozy.
Geneva Natalia
Do you have any rituals you can't go without?
I really had to think about this one because I never thought rituals were my thing but the one thing I can't go without is kissing and hugging my family before I leave them and making sure they know I love them.
What is your guilty pleasure?
My guilty pleasure would for sure be any movie involving vampires. I don't know what it is about them but I am completely infatuated! I also very much enjoy eating Mexican candies whenever I can get my hands on them.
What's your fav new spot in LA?
A place I will never be able to live without, now that I have seen it, is Wisdom Tree. That place is so beyond humbling. Granted, it's a pretty difficult hike, but when you finally make it to the top, it's one of the most amazing experiences a person can go through. I mean, what other hike on earth has a box filled with all these inspirational and heartfelt letters. It really makes you feel connected to the people around you. If you ever need to refocus yourself in life, hike Wisdom Tree.
What are your plans for this weekend?
I try to make my weekends based on my family since I am constantly on the move. So, anything involving them!
What's the hardest part about being a model?
By far the hardest part about being a model is staying grounded in Christ and not losing sight of who I was when I first came into the industry.
Sirena Warren
How do you stay cool in the summer?
Rose water spray is my savior.
What do you do, when you're not modeling?
Coming up with business ideas with my boyfriend, reading or drawing probably.
What are your plans for this weekend?
Going to Jamaica!
What's the hardest part about being a model?
Probably not being able to sleep in and having to stay still for hours during shooting in high heels. Pretty painful.
Do you have a special skill?
I guess I have a couple. I'm a rockclimber, visual artist, and I play guitar.
