Et Ochs | FW 2022 Collection
by Shei Marcelline
Influenced by the distorted portraits of painter John Currin, Et Ochs Fall 2022 collection skillfully exhibits the dichotomy between structure and fragility. Et Ochs utilizes seductive silhouettes as an ode to Greco-Roman sculptures, the most prominent attribute on display during New York Fashion Week.

Uses of garment-grade wires and gloss jersey blend into the collection and construct contoured shapes which further contribute to the motif of ‘sculpture-esque’ physiques. In addition, the neutral stone color palette compounded with Crimson breathes life into the collection by complementing earth tones with a striking pop of color.
Et Ochs developed this collection to parallel Norwegian artist, Håkon Anton Fagerås’ sculptural expertise and juxtapose rigidity with malleability. Complementary fabrics such as Stretch lambskin, Japanese Taffeta Chambray, and Italian Power Stretch Viscose achieve this effect.
In essence, this collection effortlessly evokes a twenty-first century surrealism that demonstrates visual attraction to proportional illusions.
