In a grand debut, Household celebrity, TikTok star and singer-songwriter Dixie D’Amelio has unveiled the music video for “Someone to Blame”, her next hit single from the album, a letter to me. The artists’ newest melody turned cinematic with the release of her music video, which premiered on July 28th. The “Someone to Blame” music video launched with a bang, premiering on MTV Live, MTVU, MTV Biggest Pop and on the Paramount Times Square billboards in NYC.

D’Amelio’s name has circled the social media sphere since 2019. Although the budding musician began her career in the early days of TikTok, D’Amelio has advanced to the music industry, dominating the business with her genre-bending pop style. Her first album, a letter to me, features fifteen tracks that cover an impressive range of vocals and lyricism, paired with video visuals that match her cool-girl aesthetic.

Collaborating with LightTricks, an innovative creator platform with video and photo editing apps, Dixie invited her fans to be a part of the music video. Fans were encouraged to use Dixie’s personal templates (made in VideoLeap) and submit their clips to be considered in the video. An astounding, 100,000 fans remixed templates, just a small portion of the millions of dedicated followers Dixie has accumulated. In a refreshing change to D'Amelio's usual music videos, this compilation piece embodies the singer's desire to give back to her fans, while maintaining her genuine creative disposition and style.
