Dior | The Fall 2021 Collection in Shanghai
by Constanza Falco Raez
On Monday, April 12, Dior showcased the Women’s Ready-To-Wear Fall 2021 collection in Shanghai, the collection’s first physical show. The Fall 2021 collection was unveiled at the Long Museum West Bund in Shanghai—an extraordinary opportunity for Maria Grazia Chiuri to play with visual forces and energies surrounding the collection. It was a celebration of world cultures.
An ode to Pop, acid hues, plays on transparency, and shiny and silvery reflections can be seen in this collection’s looks. Embroidered sequin dresses, like disco balls, match the show’s set, illuminating the four brand new dresses. An invitation to freedom, the collection was enriched by a musical composition by Giorgio Moroder, and, as a final surprise, singer Joey Yung and the Chinese rock group Black Panther gave exceptional live performances.
