Dior | Men’s Summer 2023 Show

Delectable to the eye, Dior presented the Men’s Summer 2023 collection during this year’s Paris Fashion Week. Multifaceted looks boasting a neutral earth toned color palette accompanied by clean, slender silhouettes graced the floral-lined runway—a tasteful blend of the natural and the avant-garde.

While the splendent styles can certainly stand alone, Kim Jones—artistic director of Dior Men, folds in inspiration from iconic European venues to seamlessly warp the construct of time. Teased on the luxury brand’s Instagram, The 1975’s frontman, Matt Healy, wanders through the Charleston Farmhouse—a staple of the English countryside, as well as Granville, Normandy, where Christian Dior’s childhood home is situated. Healy can be seen absorbing the architectural grandeur and gliding through the saturated full bloom. The entanglement of both scenes yielded the show’s decadent scenography.

As the array of models showcased Dior’s latest, the audience witnessed a neoteric summer style—construction in freeform. The visual oxymoron is comprised of refined materials including reclaimed cashmere, sweeping cotton, and semi-transparent silk organza.

In essence, the Dior Men’s Summer 2023 collection is the intersection of formal and informal-wear. Jones effectively transported Dior’s garments to a glorious summer scene while simultaneously creating an ode to Christian Dior’s illustrious history.
