Famed rock ‘n’ roll magazine CREEM, renowned during its 20-year run for its participatory and radical music journalism, is relaunching for the twenty-first century. The magazine is set to reclaim its status as the go-to source for rock ‘n’ roll, from big names to underground bands that nobody has heard of—yet. CREEM will live both online and in print, catering to the masses and a loyal soon-to-be subscriber base.
With the relaunch comes the uploading of CREEM’s entire archive to the site. Writings by the likes of Patti Smith and Lester Bangs will be available to pore over. The 224-issue release marks a major touchstone for rock ‘n’ roll history, one which fans can view over the course of a free thirty-day trial up until August. It will also be free with a print subscription.

Also on creem.com is Fresh CREEM, a weekly newsletter with exclusive features and recommendations. CREEM Profiles also makes a comeback, highlighting under-the-rader talent. In keeping with its prior iteration, CREEM will invite both seasoned and new music journalists into the fold, curating an impressive roster of rock ‘n’ roll commentary. The print edition will continue in this tradition.
The archive and newsletter are live on creem.com today, and the print edition is set to launch this fall.
