In keeping with the intent to help brands industry-wide, the French luxury fashion house, Chloé, is developing the first social impact measuring tool within the industry. The Social Performance and Leverage (SP&L) will be an open-source tool that can show as a guide for fashion companies to visualize their social influence throughout their entire value chain. Though this hasn’t been done before, Chloé is confidently building a methodology that will highlight the brands’ performance on issues like gender-based inequalities, living wages, and inclusion. Philippe Aghion—son of Gaby Aghion, the founder of Chloé, continues to serve as a vital image of the brand’s goal in achieving environmental and social growth in fashion.

The tool is currently under review by professional services network, PricewaterhourseCoopers. Chloé hopes to share the methodology by 2023.
