Cartier | CLASH [UN]LIMITED COLLECTION IN COLLABORATION WITH FINNEAS
by Constanza Falco Raez
On Tuesday, August 24th, Cartier celebrated the launch of Clash [Un]limited and Clash de Cartier with an intimate rooftop dinner and performance by Finneas, Cartier’s creative collaborator on this project. The Clash [Un]limited capsule collection will be presented in an exhibition of the same name, showcasing the new limited-edition creations as well as the exquisite craftsmanship of the highly exclusive brand. The Clash [Un]limited Exhibition, a concept designed for Cartier by Snarkitecture, takes guests on an immersive installation experience that features an exclusive soundscape produced and created by Finneas, on view in West Hollywood from August 25 to September 1.
"To me, Clash represented the opportunity to redefine and rediscover what it is about art that moves me the most. In crafting this piece, my intention was to create something that flowed seamlessly between the different sonic landscapes that have inspired me most throughout my life. The power of a delicate piano, the aggression of an overdrive guitar and the pulsing heartbeat of an electric leaning dance track. Music will always be the soundtrack to which we live our lives and having the opportunity to work with Cartier has been one I've cherished.” - Finneas
Featuring spiked rings, bracelets, and earrings using gold, onyx, diamonds, and amethyst, the new Clash [Un]Limited capsule collection rebels against classic forms. With exaggerated volumes, oversized studs, and mesmerizing forms, it’s the reinvention of Clash de Cartier - a clash of opposites, lines bind to volumes. These new jewelry pieces echo the clash of two opposing attitudes.
