Bottega Veneta, under creative director Matthieu Blazy, debuted its Summer 2023 show in Milan on September 24. Blazy commissioned multidisciplinary architect-designer-artist Gaetano Pesce, whose career spans seven decades, to create a art show space for the fashion show. Pesce created a sculptural resin floor and 400 chairs, Pesce’s first original chair in several years, which are all slightly unique and reflect the human condition.

The Bottega Veneta collection and show demonstrates great range: variety in ages, materials, function, and colors. The line combines sophistication and utility, practicality and playfulness between the cotton crepe gauze and the nylon sheer jersey, and features embellishments including unique beads and embroidery.

Later this fall, Pesce’s chairs will displayed and available to purchase at Design Miami from November 30-December 4.
