Alexander McQueen | The Sprint Runner

Alexander McQueen releases a new film directed by award-winning director, Sophie Muller, featuring the newest Sprint Runner sneaker modeled by singer, songwriter, and dancer, Mettenarrative.  

The film captures Mette’s striking physique and agility through an expression that highlights the movement of the body. Through various tests of physicality and athleticism, Mette displays a solid strength that is accompanied and enhanced by the clothing she wears. A satin corset dress powerfully contrasts yet complements the McQueen Sprint Runner and flows freely in response to her every step. The sneaker itself displays versatility through the visualizations of differing actions: dancing, weight-lifting, cardio, etc.

First seen on the women’s Spring/Summer 2022 runway, the sneaker stands out as a modernly sleek and elegant running shoe. The shoe is designed with a laced, metal-free white leather upper as well as an exaggerated rubber sole. Available in all white with a white heel or in white with a contrast black leather heel and in seasonal colors reflective of the palette from both men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, all are finished with an Alexander McQueen signature and an embossed McQueen seal.
