Adidas Originals’ new Adilicious campaign pulls from the nostalgic elements of the 70s and 80s with the iconic restaurant SUPERFLY as one of the 11 restaurant collaborations. The House Collective’s The Opposite House by Swire hotels in Beijing, reimagines the campaign–also bringing back the iconic limited edition run of 880 pairs.
SUPERFLY’s unique style hones in on retro elements utilizing burnt orange and blue as the primary colors of the collection. Drawing on youth Chinese culture, SUPERFLY remains both fashionable and trendy while reinventing the powerful allure of the 70s, and 80s. The iconic 880 Adidas gets a makeover with the limited edition Forum Low SUPERFLY sneaker that follows the aesthetic of SUPERFLY–a modern take on the retro style we all know and love. Honing in on the importance of community and the celebration of each restaurant's story, a key element of this collaboration draws in on the importance of gathering together.
Opposite House general manager Oliver Dumonceaux relays the importance of appealing to Chinese youth by combining the old with the new. SUPERFLY will host a creative installation of the restaurant from September 24th-October24th as a part of the iconic collaboration. The collection will feature food and drinks matching the retro theme and staying true to the aesthetic.
