RIMOWA x Kaleidoscope Take Over Milan Design Week

by Paulette Ely

Guillermo Santoma was the man of Milan earlier this week as RIMOWA and Kaleidoscope celebrated his artistic ability along with countless creatives at Spazio Maiocchi. Milan Design Week highlighted this chic collaboration between contemporary art magazine Kaleidoscope and revered luggage brand RIMOWA. Santoma, the Spanish designer, suspended the projection of such an art installation in which he conceptualized and created a fully functioning car ornamented with RIMOWA aluminum and drawing inspiration from West Coast, USA. His views of timelessness in fashion blended with functionality of world travel made Santoma the ideal design icon to present pieces for the publication, and he showcased his process of play and professionalism of this project with a photo zine and a short film. The night was a dream in the design world and included iconic attendees such as Hector Muelas, Heron Preston, Maria Cristina Didero and Sabine Marcelis.
