Through analysis and research provided by Business of Fashion combined with search engine Lyst, Gucci has been deemed number one in the fashion world. No surprise there.  Their recent collections have been out of this world; literally. Alessandro Michele brought the label all the way to the top with his ability to design pieces that attract both millennial and Generation-Z consumers. Bringing in Glen Luchford to shoot their recent '5os sci-fi-inspired collection was a true marketing gold.

Gucci knocked down French cult brand Vetements from first place to fourth. Taking second is Yeezy, keeping their number two spot on the charts. Balenciaga comes in taking third, rising from ninth, Demna Gvasalia’s intricate designs has provided the brand more of a streetwear lean, likely contributing to the label's ascent.

On BOF's top ten labels list, a few other brands made a notable leaps. Givenchy, known for their dark sensual designs rose from twelfth to number five. The interest from the massive following of the Kardashian and Jenner clan likely helped the brand's boost. Valentino elevated, taking number six on the chart--far from their former rank at twenty three. Their rock stud accessories and camouflage designs have improved the label's performance drastically by attracting consumers of all ages. Fendi also was able to acquire a spot as number ten from twenty-two. Creative directors Karl Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi added a frisky take on the luxury brand.
