Neo-psychedelic duo, GRLS is the brainchild of multi-instrumentalists, Lucca Necoechea, and Diego Andlovin. Raised in the cultural hub of Mexico City, they first crossed paths at Berklee College of Music. Late nights in dorms led to their experimentation in production, eventually influencing their departure from college; and with their new found freedom, GRLS was born. Reflections of psychedelia and new wave music, Lucca and Diego reminisce youth culture, freedom, euphoria, and nostalgia in rebellion to past restrictions, collaborating with fellow Berklee College singer Jack O’Connor, who co-wrote and sang on this latest track. Today, GRLS premiere “Chemical Gardens” with infectious beats, crumbling synths, and intimate vocals.

"Chemical Gardens is about transformation. It’s the calm before the storm and the storm in its climax, the transition from one mind-state to another. It’s the polarization between a paradisiac atmosphere and a more obscure, aggressive feel."
