Dover Street Market to Open in Los Angeles

by Chanel Peykar

Rei Kawakubo’s Dover Street Market is set to open their sixth location in the Downtown Los Angeles Arts District. The retail fashion company, who opened their first location in London in 2004, has gained a cult following for their curation of luxury and street lines.

Adrian Joffe, CEO of Comme des Garcons and husband to Kawakubo, told WWD the luxury store will be unlike any of the other DSM outposts — a “newer version” of the concept that gives the designers free reign over the creation of their collection areas within the 10,000 square foot single-level space.

The location will be the newest addition to the ever-growing DTLA fashion scene, neighboring the likes of 3.1 Phillip Lim and Shinola. It is projected to open doors March 2018.
