LACMA's Late Party, 'Muse 'til Midnight,' is Upon Us

LACMA is inviting art lovers everywhere to join them for the ultimate late night at the museum to celebrate Latin American art in Los Angeles.
The late night celebration titled Muse 'til Midnight includes art from several of the following exhibitions:
- Chagall: Fantasies for the Stage
- Los Angeles to New York: Dawn Gallery, 1959-1971
- Home—So Different, So Appealing
- Playing with Fire: Paintings by Carlos Almaraz
- A Universal History of Infamy
Each exhibition focuses on something a little different. Chagall’s exhibition is on the performing arts and displays a wide range of costumes and art from classic ballets and operas. Carlos Almaraz is “one of the most influential Los Angeles artists of the 1970s and 1980s” and displays this artist’s work from 1967 to 1989, portraying how he began painting political works and eventually more personal ones.
Not only will there be after-hour art to enjoy, but there will also be live music, in the BCAM area and outdoors at Urban Light. Taking place this Saturday (August 19) from 8pm to midnight, tickets are $25 for members, and $35 for general admission.
