What’s Up Desert Hearts Family, The next EP on the label comes from Hot Creations Queen and long-time friend of the family, Anabel Englund, alongside Desert Hearts mainstay, RYBO. Titled “Call U Rite Back”, this EP is without a doubt the most soulful release on the label thus far. The A-side is laced up with the sultriest of vocals from Englund while RYBO lays down the perfect beat to match the vibe. It’s deep, it’s poppy, and it’s amazing. The B-Side, “Just For The High”, sees Anabel’s lyrics thrown over a moody tech house beat from RYBO and fellow DH producer, Lubelski. Finally, remix duties come from one of our favorite producers at the moment, UK based Mark Jenkyns. To round out the release, Jenkyns delivers a perfect kick up the ass to “Call U Rite Back”, making it all the more accessible on the dance floor. House, Techno, & Love… We Are All Desert Hearts.

Anabel Englund has been working with some of the biggest producers in the genre, including Hot Natured and Amtrac recently, while grabbing attention with a steady stream of collabs and propulsive tracks. You probably heard her breakout tune Reverse Skydiving  with Hot Natured, a collaboration on which she sang as lead vocalist. The release received huge remixes from the likes of Shadow Child, Deetron, and Robert James, and has gotten over 8.5M plays on Spotify and 4.75M on YouTube. Ever restless, she's now dropping her latest—a three-track EP with close friend RYBO, and she has more in store for what promises to be a busy year: “I have a lot of things coming up for 2018 like furthering my label Gari Recs. I have a track with Amtrac, coming out in March, I think. And most importantly, I am getting ready to put out the first track from my new solo EP that will have more of an Indie Electro feel to it,” she says.

Englund reveals the inspiration and meaning behind her EP Can I Call U Rite Back: “I wrote Call U Rite Back in the Springtime last year messing around in the studio with RYBO. The song is about getting off your phone and getting into your life—feeling the pleasures and pains, the ooohs and ahhhs of the earth's breath & beat.”

Englund is not the only one excited about the release with Desert Heart. Collaborator and friend, RYBO comments on his eagerness to work with Englund, "This track is very special because I’ve been a big fan of Anabel Englund’s vocals for a long time and it was a dream come true working on the track together from start to finish,” he tells us. RYBO has high hopes to continue working with Englund in the coming year.
