ALDO's artistic homage to Venice Beach

by Paulette Ely

In Dogtown, U.S.A, Los Angeles’ coolest cats came together to celebrate a very West-side summer with jalapeño margaritas, cauliflower tacos and customizable tote bags filled with gifts of hoop earrings and hats. Thanks to the shoe and accessory brand, ALDO, Wednesday evening’s event was an unforgettable celebration of Venice, California and all that add to its culture of creativity. From the moment that guests stepped foot into the Rose Room, each person was immersed in the art and aesthetics embodied by the beloved Venice neighborhoods thanks to some very special artists on the scene. Teddy Kelly, Brain Kaspr and Daniel Winter used mediums such as murals, customizable skate decks and totes, and even live tattooing to aid ALDO in the interactive and collaborative nature that was this fashion forward affair by the sea. Guests not only left the event stuffed from churros and cocktails, but tired toes from endless dancing. The night of westside art and dance not only educated us all on the beauty that resides in LA natives backyard, but left everyone feeling rich in Mexicali treats we often forget about. Check out these shots capturing last nights guests and all the fun that was had!
